GenRebirth is operated by an individual developer based in the United Kingdom. When this policy refers to "we," "our," or "us," it means the operator of GenRebirth. When it refers to the "Service," it means the GenRebirth mobile application and the website at genrebirth.com.

The Service is intended for users aged 12 years and older. If you are under 12 you may not use GenRebirth.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

Account information: name, email address, and profile photo provided during registration.
User content: videos, comments, captions, and other content you create or upload.
Location data: approximate location collected with your permission to power location-based features and rewards.
Device information: device type, operating system, app version, and unique device identifiers.
Usage data: pages visited, features used, session duration, and interaction events.
Push notification tokens: used solely to deliver notifications you have opted into.

3. How We Use Your Information

Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
Process GenCoin transactions and manage your balance.
Personalise your experience, including the news feed and content recommendations.
Send push notifications, streak reminders, and service updates.
Monitor and analyse usage to improve the Service.
Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues.

4. Payments

GenCoin can be purchased with real money via Stripe on the web. We do not store your credit card or payment card details. All payment processing is handled directly by Stripe. You can review Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate GenRebirth:

Firebase (Google): authentication, Cloud Firestore database, Cloud Storage for videos, and hosting. Data is stored in the europe-west region.
Stripe: payment processing for GenCoin purchases.
GNews: third-party news content displayed within the app.

Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review those policies.

6. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information in the following circumstances:

With other users: your profile information, uploaded videos, and public activity are visible to other users of the Service.
Service providers: we share data with the third-party providers listed above solely to operate the Service.
Legal requirements: we may disclose information where required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.

7. Your Rights (UK GDPR)

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data.
Erasure of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").

You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen within the app. Upon deletion we will remove your personal data and content, except where retention is required by law.

The Service is not intended for children under the age of 12. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 12. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 12, we will delete that data promptly.

10. Advertising & Tracking

GenRebirth does not use advertising trackers, third-party ad networks, or sell data for advertising purposes.

11. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you by posting the revised policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
